Daniel McNamara S.J. Endowment Fund Launched

During a simple celebration held on June 23, 2008 to mark Fr. Dan McNamara's 69th birthday and his 50th year as a Jesuit, and to wish him well on his new assignment at the Ateneo de Davao, colleagues, friends, and fans came together to launch the Daniel McNamara S.J. Endowment Fund.

Held at the Escaler Hall of the Science Education Center in the Loyola Heights campus, the celebration began with a mass, which was followed by a tribute led by Fr. Dan's colleagues from the School of Science and Engineering and the Manila Observatory. The launch of the endowment fund capped the short program.

The endowment fund, with a targeted amount of P2.5 million by June 2009, will be used to fund the studies of a Physics major from the province, as requested by Fr. McNamara. Close to P.5 million was raised on the day of the launch, an encouraging figure indeed.

Those who wish to contribute to the fund may download the pledge form below.

For Ateneo employees who wish to contribute through salary deductions, an authorization for payroll deduction form may also be downloaded.

Please fill out the forms and submit them to Jolly Morata of the Office of Admission and Aid, Loyola Schools (address and contact numbers are provided in the pledge form).
