Kierans is new VP of University of King’s College in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
Prof. Kim Kierans, a long-time adjunct faculty member in the MA Journalism program, has been named Vice-President of the University of King’s College in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Her term as VP commences on 1 July 2010.
"I am humbled and honored to be asked to serve as Vice-President,” Kierans said. “What's wonderful is that the position allows me to keep teaching so I can maintain my connection with students both at King's and ACFJ."
Kierans is the director of the University of King’s College’s School of Journalism, writes a weekly column for the Sunday Herald and produces radio documentaries for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
Kierans has been teaching MA Journalism subjects such as Advanced Reporting, Broadcast issues and Writing for Broadcast. The MA Journalism program is run by the Konrad Adenauer Asian Center for Journalism at the Ateneo de Manila University for the Department of Communication.
