Biology alumna Dr. Nina Ingle receives prestigious Parker/Gentry Award
Dr. Angela Nina Ann R. Ingle (BS Biology 1985, magna cum laude) was given the prestigious Parker/Gentry Award by the Field Museum in Chicago on October 11, 2012.
An official release from the museum reads: “Dr. Nina R. Ingle’s commitment to biodiversity conservation through research, management, and education exemplifies the spirit of the Parker/Gentry award.”
Since obtaining her Ph.D. in Natural Resources Management from Cornell University in 2001, Dr. Ingle has been active in bat conservation work and biodiversity education in Davao. She is currently the president of the Wildlife Conservation Society of the Philippines (WCSP).
