Ateneans receive Ambassador Alfredo M. Yao Intellectual Property Awards

Three members of the School of Science and Engineering’s Department of Chemistry were recognized at the Ambassador Alfredo M. Yao Intellectual Property (AMY IP) Awards held on October 11, 2012 at the Manila Hotel.

Dr. Erwin Enriquez (Associate Professor) and Mr. Jerick Imbao (BS Chemistry 2012) received an award for their work entitled “Method for Producing Carbon from Glycerol,” and Ms. Eunice Mae Biteng (Assistant Instructor) won for her MS thesis work at the University of the Philippines-Manila entitled “Diagnosis and Detection of Dengue Virus Infection Using Chicken Egg Antibodies.”

Enriquez and Imbao won the AMY IP Award for Luzon and NCR, while Biteng and her UPM co-workers won the National AMY IP Award.
